Foot Care for Seniors

In September 2003, the Hospital introduced a foot care program for seniors in response to a need identified in the community survey (2002).

The program provides professional nursing foot care to seniors over the age of 60 who have difficulties managing their own foot care due to health issues such as arthritis, diabetes, decrease vision or dexterity, etc. or have corns, calluses, thick nails, ingrown nails or other problems.

Currently, the program is offered by a Registered Nurse once per month at no cost to clients who meet the criteria.
