VISITING HOURS & REGULATIONS

Visiting hours are from 11:00am to 8:00 p.m.  We ask that you wait until 11:00 a.m. to visit as a courtesy to respect the privacy of our patients. If you need to know the patient's room number, simply ask at the Nursing station on the Acute Care unit.

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and must behave in respect to the patient care environment. For example, not being disruptive to other patients and/or staff members. If a child does not behave accordingly, he/she will be requested to leave the premises.

The charge nurse has the responsibility to curtail and/or cancel visiting privileges in the following circumstances:

  • If the number of visitors in the room is determined detrimental to the comfort of the patient or to the other patient(s) in the room. Please respect the request to leave as it is in the patient's best interest.
  • The visiting privileges may be restricted or cancelled if requested by the patient or the other patient(s) occupying the room.
  • The visiting privileges may be restricted or cancelled by the charge nurse depending on the condition of the patient or the condition of the other patient(s) occupying the room.
  • Visitors may be requested at any time to leave the room so that required medical/nursing care can be properly administered to the patient(s) occupying the room.

It is important that the visit is a pleasant one for both the patient and the visitor(s).
